A POTATO THAT ISN’T
Idaho Spud
Cocoa marshmallow, dark coating, coconut—and no potato. The regional oddball is still sold by its maker.
SWEET SURVIVORS
Regional bars and candy-counter landmarks that remain current products—not expired nostalgia or auction listings. Every entry links to the current maker evidence, records what changed and carries a last-checked date.

FREEZE IT. SHATTER IT.
The long vanilla nougat bar named for a dance is still sold in full-size and mini forms.
WHY THIS SHELF MATTERS
Old candy can remain surprisingly stable while its wrapper, owner or distribution changes around it. We look for the current maker and the recognizable format—not expired stock, reproduction packaging or an unrelated novelty using a familiar name.
Check format, flavor, package count and seller handling. Full-size bars and mini versions can feel very different, while heat-sensitive coatings deserve extra attention during warm-weather shipping.
BEFORE YOU FOLLOW THE MEMORY
The maker evidence establishes a current product, but buyers should still review an individual retailer’s dates and handling.
Many favorites were discontinued or only returned temporarily. The collection includes products we can verify as current.
Not always. Formula, size, ownership and manufacturing can change; meaningful differences are recorded on each product page.
