Are Beanie Babies
still made?
Confirmed through Ty’s active official Beanie Babies catalog, which includes current original animals and licensed characters.
The short history
The Original Nine appeared in 1993, but the mid-1990s collecting boom turned ordinary plush animals into price-guide homework. Keeping the heart tag pristine sometimes mattered more than actually playing with the toy.
What survived
Small soft bodies, bean filling, individual names, birthdays, poems and the familiar heart-shaped Ty tag continue.
What changed
The current catalog uses new fabrics, expressions and licensed characters; most original 1990s styles are retired and modern products should not be treated as investments.
Current versions
Ty’s current store distinguishes Beanie Babies from related Beanie Boos, Beanie Bellies and other plush families. New Beanie Babies still carry names, birthdays, poems and tags, but their look and licensed mix differ from the 1990s lineup.

Are today’s Beanie Babies the same as the 1990s originals?
They preserve the small tagged plush concept, but current characters, materials and styling differ, and the original designs are generally retired.
Are old Beanie Babies valuable?
Most are not highly valuable. Condition, authenticity, exact edition and genuine buyer demand matter far more than viral asking prices.
