Is Polly Pocket
still made?

YES — REVIVED TODAY

Confirmed through Mattel's current Polly Pocket brand page and active compact assortment, including both children's playsets and nostalgia-oriented collector releases.

The short history

Polly Pocket began in 1989 as a micro doll whose detailed world closed into a compact. The format made an entire house, party or vacation portable enough for a pocket or backpack.

What survived

Tiny figures, portable hinged worlds and the pleasure of discovering miniature rooms and moving details remain recognizable.

What changed

The line was revived and redesigned; current figures, scale, materials and themes are not identical to the original Bluebird-era compacts.

Current versions

Mattel now sells child-focused compacts, novelty mini formats and collector collaborations. Some deliberately reference classic sets, while others use current characters and substantially different styling.
