Is He-Man
still made?
Confirmed through Mattel’s current era guide and active Masters of the Universe assortment, including Origins and 2026 releases.
The short history
Mattel launched Masters of the Universe toys in 1982, making He-Man, Skeletor and Castle Grayskull fixtures of the decade’s toy aisles and television afternoons. The original vintage run ended, but the world has returned through several distinct revivals.
What survived
He-Man, Skeletor, the Power Sword and Castle Grayskull remain central, while Origins deliberately returns to the classic 5.5-inch scale.
What changed
This is a revival rather than uninterrupted production: current figures add modern articulation, multiple scales and distinct collector lines.
Current versions
Masters of the Universe Origins recreates the classic 5.5-inch proportions with added articulation. Mattel also offers larger collector-focused lines and products tied to the 2026 screen revival.
