Is Littlest Pet Shop
still made?
Confirmed through the official Littlest Pet Shop site and Basic Fun!’s active licensed portfolio, with current collectible pets and playsets.
The short history
Kenner introduced Littlest Pet Shop in 1992 with compact animal families and small habitats full of mechanical details. Later Hasbro generations shifted toward oversized heads, named characters and a much larger collector culture.
What survived
Small collectible animals, individual personalities, accessory play and the urge to build a whole pet world remain central.
What changed
The current Generation 7 line uses two-inch bobble-head figures descended more directly from the 2000s style than from Kenner’s realistic 1992 pets and magnet-driven playsets.
Current versions
Basic Fun!’s current Generation 7 revival includes individual surprise pets, multipacks and playsets. It celebrates later bobble-head LPS styling rather than reproducing the earliest Kenner animals exactly.

THE QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK
Littlest Pet Shop FAQ
Is Littlest Pet Shop still made?
Yes. Basic Fun! currently makes officially licensed Littlest Pet Shop figures and playsets.
Are the new Littlest Pet Shop toys like the 1992 originals?
Not closely. The current revival uses the later bobble-head style rather than the more realistic first-generation Kenner designs.
Do current pets work with older playsets?
Some figures may physically fit, but proportions and interactive features vary by generation, so compatibility should be checked product by product.
