Is NERDS
still made?
Confirmed in Ferrara’s active NERDS portfolio, including classic NERDS, Rope, Big Chewy and Gummy Clusters.
The short history
NERDS arrived in 1983 as tiny, irregular crunchy candies often split between two flavors in a dual-chamber box. Pouring from one side—or both—was part of the appeal.
What survived
Small irregular crunchy candies with bright fruit flavors remain available in the core line.
What changed
Ropes, chewy pieces and gummy clusters have made the brand much broader than the divided box many people remember.
Current versions
Ferrara’s current portfolio includes classic NERDS plus Rope, Big Chewy and Gummy Clusters. The brand is thriving, but many prominent products now combine crunchy pieces with chewy centers.
