Is Rubik’s Cube
still made?

YES — MADE TODAY

Confirmed through Spin Master’s current Rubik’s catalog, including an in-stock classic 3×3.

The short history

Ernő Rubik invented his rotating cube in 1974, and the puzzle became a worldwide phenomenon around 1980. Six solid-color faces hide an enormous number of possible scrambled positions.

What survived

Six colored faces are still scrambled and restored by twisting the cube’s rows and columns.

What changed

Modern versions may use plastic tiles, smoother mechanisms or magnets instead of the slower stickered construction remembered by early owners.

Current versions

The official range includes the classic 3×3, easier and harder sizes, magnetic speed cubes and a deliberately retro anniversary edition.
