Is Spirograph
still made?

YES — MADE TODAY

Confirmed as a current PlayMonster range, from the original wheel-and-ring format to a higher-priced electronic machine.

The short history

The modern Spirograph toy dates to 1965 and makes repeating geometric curves by rotating toothed wheels inside rings. It feels like drawing, machinery and mathematics all happening at once.

What survived

Precision wheels rotate inside toothed rings to create repeating spiral patterns with ordinary drawing tools.

What changed

Modern kits add markers, storage, travel formats and an electronic machine while preserving the manual original.

Current versions

PlayMonster sells manual kits that retain the wheel-and-ring method alongside travel, marker, storage and electronic formats. The manual sets offer the closest connection to the familiar hand-guided process.
