Is Etch A Sketch
still made?

YES — MADE TODAY

Confirmed as a current Spin Master brand with classic and pocket-size drawing toys.

The short history

Etch A Sketch reached the United States in 1960 and turned two white knobs into a drawing machine. One controls horizontal motion, the other vertical, and coordinated hands can coax curves from straight-line mechanics.

What survived

Horizontal and vertical knobs still move a stylus beneath the screen, while shaking erases the drawing.

What changed

Sizes, colors and special editions have expanded, but the classic red mechanical format remains recognizable.

Current versions

The classic red format remains the clearest link to the original. Smaller travel sizes and special colors trade drawing area for portability or novelty.
