Are Garbage Pail Kids
still made?

YES — MADE TODAY

Confirmed through Topps’ official Garbage Pail Kids hub and its 2026 Bizarre Competitions series, which introduced new characters in the classic A/B-name format.

The short history

Topps launched Garbage Pail Kids in 1985 as a gleefully gross parody trading-card world. The combination of sticker fronts, vivid painted gags and alternate names made the cards irresistible to many children—and unacceptable to many parents and schools.

What survived

Grotesque painted characters, punning names, sticker-card collecting and alternate A/B names remain defining features of current releases.

What changed

Modern GPK appears in limited online drops, anniversary products, Chrome editions and collaborations, so availability and pack format differ substantially from a wax pack at the corner store.

Current versions

Topps continues to produce physical Garbage Pail Kids cards. Recent official releases include a 40th-anniversary product and the 2026 Bizarre Competitions online series, alongside Chrome editions and collaborations.
