The short history

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles began in comics in 1984, but the 1988 Playmates action figures and animated series turned the four brothers into a toy-box phenomenon. Figures, vehicles and increasingly strange character variants filled out the remembered line.

What survived

Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo remain poseable action figures with their signature colors, weapons and sewer-born mythology.
